The last quarter of the year was very busy for Sii Poland experts, despite the long-awaited Christmas break. We signed new contracts, extended our cooperation with existing clients and won many exciting projects. Learn more about some of them.
More efficient use of Dynamics 365 in the largest security service provider in Poland
The Sii Poland’s project, carried out in cooperation with the largest security service provider in Poland, concerns the upgrade of the Dynamics AX system from AX 2009 to cloud-based Dynamics 365 F&O. Its first stage includes expanding the scope of use of Dynamics 365 to include new areas such as projects, warehouse, purchases and sales.
High-bay warehouse management and Field Service
Sii Poland has developed cooperation with the client, which is focused on the implementation of Dynamics 365 F&SCM. The scope of the project has been expanded to include the implementation of WMS, allowing managing the high-bay warehouse using mobile terminals, and Field Service, supporting field service operations through mobile devices.
24/7 support for Tikkurila Oyj’s CMS system
Tikkurila Oyj – a Finnish company present in around 40 countries – uses a global CMS system, requiring continuous support. As part of the entrusted project, Sii Poland is responsible for its 24/7/365 monitoring and servicing of all websites. The system is running on Azure and private Russian and Kazakh clouds.
ITIL®4 Foundation certification for employees of a Swedish car manufacturer
The Sii Poland team of experts supports a global car manufacturer by organizing a series of online ITIL®4 Foundation trainings for its employees. The aim of the project is to train and certify around 300-400 people. Depending on their preferences, the employees can take part in trainings conducted in Polish, English, Swedish or French. They can also choose trainings in a different time zone.
Verification of testing processes in mBank
The defined objective of the project implemented by Sii Polska is a comprehensive evaluation of testing processes in four selected mBank teams and verification of the activities planned as part of the Quality First program and the Bank’s Testing Strategy. It also includes the preparation of recommendations on the planned actions, together with the proposal for changes in mBank’s testing processes.
E-commerce solution for QIAGEN
The major goal of the project has been to set up a cross-technology Development Team whose task is to re-write QIAGEN’s current e-commerce solution and product pages. It also includes the migration of the Knowledge Hub section of QIAGEN.com to new designs and a new Sitecore CMS structure. Sii experts are creating modules, components, Support Pages and forms, upgrading webinar services as well as introducing new search functions for Knowledge Hub.
Mobile application for an international clothing industry giant
The Sii Poland team is working on a mobile application (native iOS) for managing stores of a global clothing industry giant. It allows, among others, managing personnel, managing deliveries, displaying current and archived sales data and much more. The implementation process has been already completed in the case of some store chains and the next implementations are planned for the nearest future.
17 applications for the global healthcare sector leader
Sii Poland experts have engaged in a multi-stage project for the global healthcare sector leader. The offered Healthcare Knowledge Management Tools Managed Service includes 17 applications that are in production. Sii Poland teams handle both the development of new products and maintenance of the existing ones in a full product lifecycle. Their majority is related to scientific publications concerning pharmaceutical products and their clinical trials.
Expanded cooperation with an American semiconductor supplier
Through long-term cooperation with the multinational technology company, Sii Poland has a chance to work on Ethernet cards (40 Gbit). Sii specialists are responsible for maintaining firmware code in terms of defects fixing, new functionalities implementation as well as for testing. The team of 10 experts includes low-level C Developers and QA Engineers who cooperate extensively with the client in Poland and Israel.
Work quality improvement for ABB
As part of the project for ABB, a Detect to Correct (D2C) team has been created. It is responsible for reducing the negative effects of the IT department’s work (e.g. backlog, high reassignment count) through deep analysis of trends in the client’s systems. Among its tasks is the monitoring of incoming mail from ABB vendors and managers, including verification of the problem history, actions taken and assessment of the efficiency of vendors who should solve the problem immediately after being contacted. The D2C team also participates in setting up new processes and looking for systemic solutions for services that require improvement.
