- PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) is a set of best practices regarding project management, gathered and published by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The guidelines of the PMBOK can be used in a broad spectrum of IT projects, regardless of their size and complexity. These methods are focused on the effectiveness of achieving business goals.
- SureStep is a library of methods, rules and products offered by Microsoft, for carrying out MS Dynamics AX implementation projects. SureStep defines the Stages and Products for various types of implementation projects (Implementation, Upgrade). Even though, when describing SureStep, Microsoft does not refer directly to PMBOK, the recommendations and practices presented by PMI translate directly into the elements of SureStep.
For the project to be successful, it is necessary to agree with the Contractor on dividing the project into Stages. This division can be established already in the Diagnosis/ Preparatory phase, or can be conditioned, for example, by the results of the project analysis. In special cases, the project can have only one phase covering the entire System implementation process.
A single Stage of the project, defines the entire functional scope, which should be provided and launched. The division into phases can be conditioned by the size and complexity of the project, as well as by other business and organizational circumstances of especially great importance from the perspective of the project.
The project realization process is conducted according to the SureStep library and the set of good practices defined by PMBOK. Our methodology addresses all the areas and elements necessary for carrying out the implementation, which are the base of SureStep and PMBOK, that is: Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Supply, Communication, Risk and Purchase management.
