The first quarter of 2021 brought Sii Poland new projects won for prestigious international clients. Working with companies operating in different industries, from Hi-Tech to Healthcare, Retail and Financial Services, our experts develop and deliver top-notch solutions that make businesses grow and thrive. Leica Geosystems AG 

Leica Geosystems AG was looking for new embedded software for a modernized version of their core products – Disto D5 & X6 laser distance meters for outdoor measurements. Sii’s Embedded CC will be responsible for preparing market-ready software to be launched, together with the new products, in 2022. 

Viessmann 

Viessmann was looking for a provider who could almost immediately build two strong delivery teams to help them in meeting project deadlines set for Q1 of 2022. The Sii team will consist of 16 people in total (6 Mobile Developers, 5 QAs, 2 C# Developer, 2 Date Engineers and 1 Scrum Master). We will support Viessmann in adding crucial functionality to their mobile apps used to control their heating and cooling equipment.   

Hapag-Lloyd Polska Sp. z o.o. 

With highly skilled professionals on the Polish nearshoring market, Hapag Lloyd decided to build a Knowledge Center in Gdansk. Among other competency streams such as AI, EDI or Salesforce, a need to quickly increase the capacity of the present BI team turned out to be crucial. Hapag Lloyd decided to move their Hamburg-based BI developers to work closely with BI front-end development team in Poland. Having on-prem BI specialists in Gdansk, the client also plans to migrate to a cloud-based solution in the nearest future.  

The accountability for the currently existing business-critical on-prem legacy IT landscape as well as data warehouse-related development methodology and know-how lies with Sii. Our dedicated team consists of the Project Manager, BI Architects and BI Developers.  

A world-leading provider of hearing solutions 

Sii experts supported the client in different projects and activities. 

One of the projects included designing, customizing and configuring SAP MM/PP/WM processes and solutions. Sii delivered needed competences and facilitated change request processes, helped in the development of specifications, assessing business and applications management as well as in analyzing business requirements and proposing appropriate solutions. 

Sii also supported the client in ABAP development. Our role was to create and extend program specifications for CRs projects and new releases as well as develop applications and interfaces using appropriate tools and languages.  

We took care of coaching and supporting the client’s internal teams in test–driven development. Sii experts introduced TDD characteristics, TDD cycle and unit tests during online workshops. 

Solar Polska Sp. z o.o. 

The project includes the migration of the AX system to the Dynamics 365 environment in the following areas: Finances & Accounting, Purchases, Sales (including CRM processes) and Warehouse. It will also cover the implementation of the WMS system. A modern cloud solution like Dynamics 365, with access to tools such as Power BI and Power Apps, will allow the Solar Company to become an innovative organization on the European market. 

A supplier of innovative products and systems for the Construction industry 

Sii provides Service Desk services for Poland, Germany and the United Kingdom in all three languages. Three lines of support – L1 Support, L2 Workplace Delivery and L3 Infrastructure Support – are offered. 

Allfunds Bank 

Allfunds Bank needed prompt assistance enabling the start of operations in Poland, shortly after opening their branch in Warsaw. Sii has built a team of 15 specialists supporting the client in data migration and processing. Our workers are responsible for checking the data before migration, supplementing missing data, data migration, client’s onboarding, data processing and settlements. Sii’s support has enabled Allfunds to meet the internal commencement of operations schedule in Poland. 

A leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm 

In the USA, our customer launched a platform that allows clients to invest in funds, offering personal investment solutions to existing users of the firm’s consumer banking platform. They are planning to implement it in the UK and this is where Sii comes with support in the area of testing and development services. The existing functionality in the platform will be leveraged and new market-specific requirements will be integrated into it. This includes suitability assessment, regulatory reporting and custodian providers.

A technology leader in electronic design automation 

Sii engineers are supporting several projects for a leading EDA supplier who cooperates with the top-tier Hi-tech, Aerospace, Automotive and Semiconductor companies.

For the client’s core product development, Sii is delivering competencies in back-end and front-end technologies. We are expanding and implementing new functionalities in several applications for electronic design & simulation using C++, JAVA and JS/React.

Sii has started this cooperation with a team of 3 Back-end developers and now we are extending our services to support front-end development in a PLM application.

An online e-commerce platform 

Sii participates in the Teta HR/ME system implementation project – replacement of the KiP system – as the administrator/technical specialist. Our experts are responsible for the preparation of the pre-implementation analysis and the Implementation Project as well as the preparation and implementation of data migration. Reconstruction of systems architecture and integration between systems is also the area of Sii’s interest. Cooperating with the supplier and project teams, Sii focuses on the infrastructure, databases and security. Our specialists participate in configuration, training and application tests as well as prepare and maintain technical documentation. If needed, we monitor, maintain and develop other systems in the area of HR.  

A global supplier of door opening solutions 

 Sii was engaged in a project related to low-level software development for the new smart lock controlled via BLE or NFC. As its part, the SDK capabilities used by the lock concerning wireless connectivity were investigated.

The Sii team extended the SDK with the ISO-level functionalities for the new NFC Credential. We also implemented the BLE abstraction layer capable of configuring and controlling different BLE profiles. Last but not least, the 3rd party SDK responsible for the new BLE/NFC communication establishment and control was implemented.
