GET.NET Conference 2017. Over 350 participants, 12 .NET experts and 9 hours of presentations
The GET.NET Conference devoted to .NET technology has marked its place in the calendar of worthy IT events. As it is every year, the organizers chose presentations of high substantive value by inviting experts from around the world. On October 28th crowds of .NET specialists came to Amber Expo.
GET.NET is a cyclical programming conference organized by Sii, which is held twice a year – in spring in Lodz and in autumn in Gdansk. On October 28th the fourth edition of the event has gathered over 350 .NET enthusiasts.
This year’s edition was opened by the presentation of Tomasz Kopacz, a highly regarded expert working for Microsoft, who talked about the possibilities and performance of .NET Core, IL and ASP.NET Core. The attendees couldn’t ignore the speaker’s energy, for which he is well known in the IT community. After the key note speaker, Bartosz Bucoń and Mateusz Kowalewski representing Sii provided a session, during which they showed how to build an application in Xamarin, which enables the programmers to write code for three platforms – iOS, Android and UWP.
On two stages the participants could also listen to 9 esteemed .NET authorities: Nino Crudele (United Kingdom), Dylan Beattie (United Kingdom), Tomáš Herceg (Czech Republic), Don Wibier (Netherlands), Ian Cooper (Great Britan), Marcin Hoppe, Michał Furmankiewicz, Łukasz Grala and Jakub Gutkowski.
The GET.NET conference had been the first enterprise of such magnitude in the field of .NET and similar technologies in Poland. The organizer of GET.NET Conference is Sii, which employs over 3000 engineers. Sii is the Top IT and Engineering services provider in Poland. The company executes various technology projects for leading Polish and multinational companies supporting its clients within the scope of software development, IT infrastructure, product engineering, service desk, training and testing.
The honorary patron position of the event was assumed by the President of Gdansk Paweł Adamowicz.
