Let’s Code 2015 – a beneficial programming contest
On the night of 20th of November, within just only 16 hours, teams of coding enthusiasts, in 8 biggest Polish cities, will be creating social services applications. The team thatdesigns the best application will be granted 10 000 PLN reward.
Let’s Code is organized by Sii for the second time. This year the hosts have challenged the participants to create an application from one of the three proposed areas.
The first one is an application to support the local community. The exchange of services within neighborhood is one of the examples of what might be the goal of an app. The second subject is connected to passion development. In this category participants will be able to demonstrate how the creation of applications may bring additional value during sports activities, instruments playing or support any passion. The third area proposed is culture and its facilitation. Also in this case, the creativity of developers is welcomed since the application may be associated with any field of culture.
The applications created during the event will be initially evaluated by Sii jury – consisting of specialists with technical knowledge as well as of those who will assess the application in terms of their social and business usefulness. From the local stage, 8 top rated apps will be moved to the global stage. At the point, the winner will be chosen by Internet users – by online voting on Let’s Code website: http://letscode.sii.pl/.
Apart from the possibility to do something fresh, new and ambitious, prizes can be also considered as great incentives to participate in the contest.. At the local stage, the top team will be rewarded with SmartWatch Motorola Moto 360 (for each member of the team), and on the global level the authors of the best application will receive the prize of 10 000 PLN!
