The Sii’s referral program has also included non-technical positions

The employee referral program, operating in Sii since 2010, is currently the source of more than 30% of employment in the company. Recently, it has been extended to back office positions. Some of the rewards, as well as the period of validity of the recommendation have also been changed.

In the new version of the “Recommend a Friend to Sii” program, both Sii employees and people from outside the company can recommend friends to work in the e.g. Sales, Recruitment, HR, Administration or Accounting departments. For hiring or starting cooperation with a recommended person from the back office area, you will get a bonus of up to 4 000 PLN, and up to 8 000 PLN in the case of priority recruitment needs. The rewards correspond to the sums valid for the recommendations for technical roles from IT and engineering area. The bonuses are paid when cooperation or employment is reached within a maximum of 12 months from the date of the recommendation.

The growing role of recommendations

Currently, one third of newly employed people in Sii come from the referral program. The company receives the most recommendations from the employees. They act as ambassadors – they are the best and most reliable source of information about the work atmosphere and development opportunities at Sii.

– The biggest number of recommendations refer to Sii experts’ colleagues from their previous work places. Our employees know how it is to work in Sii, have information about our projects and  appreciate the development opportunities the company offers. They are happy to attract their colleagues to us. We also encourage to wider search for potential employees among friends on Facebook, Linkedin or participants of meetups popular in the IT industry – says Wojciech Dreja, Recruitment Director in Sii.

A win-win situation

– Recommendations are beneficial to all parties of the process. The recommended person has information about the company at first hand, making it easier for him or her to choose the future employer. The recommending person, in addition to a good co-worker, gains on the referrals financially – adds Wojciech Dreja.

Friends can be recommended for specific roles or without choosing any job offer. Recommending is very easy. To take part in the program you just need to fulfill a short form at the company’s website – the rest of the process will be taken care of by Sii Recruitment Department.  Currently, you can recommend people to work for positions in our Sales Department.
