The aim of the two-day bespoke course „IT Awareness” is to understand the specific character of the functioning of an organization providing IT service and the way clients and users of IT services perceive it.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Presentation of fundamental concepts of Information Technology, mainly as a service and organization, so that Business could understand and effectively communicata with IT people.

AUDIENCE

All customers and users of IT services, also representatives of business units; people cooperating with IT on a daily basis; also IT Staff especially service owners, business relationship mamangers; every people responsible for the delivery of IT services in an organization

KORZYŚCI
  • Understanding the basic concepts typical of IT service organization
  • Gaining knowledge on the common language in order to avoid misunderstandings during communication between Business and IT Staff
  • Understanding different perception of IT 0 from the Business as well as IT points of view
  • Creating awareness on the importance of information security management to business process
  • Gaining fundamental knowledge on IT projects so that the real partnership between business stakeholders and IT project staff could be established and sustained

  • Information Technology – perspectives, perception and role
  • IT as a service (ITSM, service catalogue, business – IT alignment, service levels etc.)
  • IT as technology – main concepts:
    • Software (business applications, database software, server software etc.) – main dofferences and characterictics
    • Hardware (servers, personal devices, periferrals, mobile devices, network LAN/WAN etc.)
    • Storages
    • Cloud
    • Telecommunication (VoIP)
  • Information security management – process, standard, security policy
  • IT projects – management and development; application development lifecycle (most common approaches and methods: PRINCE2, Agile, waterfall etc.; project roles).
  • IT as an organization.
  • IT Staff – functions, roles, responsilbilities.
  • Relationship between IT Staff and business representatives .
  • The number of participants : 8-15 people
