The applications taking part in this stage, were created during an overnight Let’s code competition on the night of November 20 in 8 cities in Poland. 244 participants created over 70 applications. The contestants registered 41 applications to the second stage. The competition organized by Sii took place in 8 offices of the company in Poland: in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Poznań, Kraków, Łódź, Lublin and Katowice

The vote starting on December the 1st on the page www.letscode.sii.pl/projekty_final  is open to everyone – you can cast only one vote. For verification purposes, the voter has to enter his e-mail address.

Really fantastic applications were created during this year’s edition and we are proud of all of our contestants – says Joanna Kucharska from Sii, responsible for organizing the competition. – What is important, this year’s contest wasn’t only about having fun, but also about a good idea for an application which would serve the society. This is why we created 3 contest categories – we are very glad that the biggest numbers of apps fell under the category „Application of Social Benefit”. The contestants took advantage of the newest trends, which are supposed to serve the people: sociability, the sharing economy and geolocation. This criteria was taken into account by our jury during the evaluation process in the I stage of the contest and it became obvious that the programmers are no strangers to these trends. This is why we would like to congratulate once again to all and wish them good luck in the II stage, in the nationwide vote.

Two remaining categories proposed by the organizer – apart from the Application of Social Benefit – were: Application Supporting Passions and Application Supporting Culture. All of the applications created and presented in the first stage of the contest had the right to participate in the II stage. Finally the contestants registered 41 applications for the II stage. 5 applications from Warsaw, 7 from Gdańsk, 4 from Wrocław, 5 from Poznań, 6 from Kraków, 5 from Łódź, 6 from Lublin and 3 applications from Katowice took part in the final contest.

The voting will continue until December 10 – we invite you to the www.letscde.sii.pl/projekty_final page. The winner will be announced on December 16. The victorious team will be awarded 10 000 PLN.
