Sii fully understands its role, which is why the company has been supporting employees in developing their sports passions for years and building a community of people connected by an active lifestyle. Explore the initiatives that demonstrate how sport, passion, and development are pillars of Sii’s organizational culture.

Employee development is more than training and promotions

Sii’s mission is to identify, develop, and promote top talent. That’s why the company invests in its employees not only through training, development programs, and career advancement opportunities, but also by financially supporting their passions and interests. Every year, Sii Poland allocates PLN 1 000 000 to support employees’ passions and volunteering, engaging nearly 3 000 employees annually. As a result, sports, hobbies, and social activities become an important part of Sii’s organizational culture and our approach to employee well-being and engagement.

”We believe that people grow holistically. Skills developed through training sessions, sports competitions, or pursuing ambitious goals outside of work often translate into professional success. Project management, determination, consistency, teamwork, resilience under pressure, as well as goal setting and achievement are traits shared by both athletes and top specialists,” says Aleksandra Kuna, CSR/ESG Manager at Sii Poland.

That’s why, for years, Sii has been creating an environment where Power People can pursue their passions, meet like-minded individuals, and build relationships that go beyond everyday professional responsibilities, an important element of Sii’s well-being strategy.

Sport at Sii: building a community around shared passions

At Sii, each of the 14 branches has communities – groups that bring together employees with shared interests. In total, there are nearly 200 interest groups connecting people through hobbies from various areas – not just sports. Workers train together, compete in events, and inspire one another.

The most active community, the Sii Running Team, brings together nearly 400 members and participates in around 100 sports events across Poland and Europe each year. This April, they took part in the unique Madeira Ultra Trail, and in October you’ll meet them at the Lisbon Half Marathon!

Sii also has many dedicated football fans. For two consecutive years, the company organized the football championships, engaging over 100 players from Sii offices across Poland.

And that’s not all. In many cities, cycling, triathlon, climbing, tennis, badminton, karting, and rowing groups are thriving. Workers can also practice yoga, reformer Pilates, and many other sports – there’s something for everyone.

Passions without limits: ambitious projects

The flagship initiative supporting Power People’s dreams is the Passion Sponsorship Program, now celebrating its 10th Anniversary. In this program, Sii awards grants for developing interests, implementing ambitious projects, and taking on unique challenges – whether in sports, technology, travel, or social activities.

Some conquer mountain trails around Mont Blanc, covering 180 kilometers across France, Italy, and Switzerland. Others explore the world of freediving, learning to control body and mind during demanding training sessions held in Europe’s deepest pool under the guidance of Michał, a Solution Architect, community leader, and national freediving team coach.

There are also remarkable travel adventures. Thanks to the program’s support, Jadwiga, Business Process Manager, and Filip, Associate Project Manager, traveled across the Middle East by motorcycle, visiting Turkey, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia.

These projects prove that passion knows no limits!

The program also supports athletes competing at the highest level. For several years, the company has supported Piotr, a Senior Test Development Engineer, who successfully competes in sport shooting. In the past year alone, he has won six national and international championship titles or finished as a runner-up in other editions, proving that consistency, dedication, and passion lead to outstanding results.

“These initiatives perfectly reflect the essence of the Passion Sponsorship Program. Sii has become a partner of the Corporate Cycling Rally FRRuuu, with as many as 20 company teams taking part.

Participation in the rally will be an opportunity for our Workers to celebrate the anniversary together, compete in a friendly spirit, and strengthen bonds.
