Power People, Sii Poland employees, joined forces to promote lower-emission commuting habits. See what activities we carried out at Sii throughout the whole month around European Mobility Week.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the third time, all Sii branches across 14 cities in Poland took part in initiatives related to European Mobility Week. The program included educational events, sports activities, competitions, and initiatives promoting alternative means of transport.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Low-emission mobility \u2013 not just for special occasions<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>European Mobility Week is an opportunity to celebrate and highlight the initiatives that Sii carries out throughout the year. Reducing transport-related emissions is part of the company\u2019s decarbonization strategy, which is why Sii consistently implements solutions that promote more environmentally friendly mobility.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the latest solutions is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/sii-polska_were-kicking-off-european-mobility-week-activity-7505883185755369473-ReEf?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAADAEEQsBchqezEq5xxaI9mqbxWnjbDh-yvw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\" rel=\"nofollow\" >Sii Carpooling<\/a>, an application designed to promote ride-sharing among employees. It allows users to post and search for rides within the Sii community. Since May this year, more than 700 ride submissions have already been registered in the app, showing that traveling together is becoming an increasingly popular way to commute to work and attend company events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Offices supporting alternative means of transport<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sii branches are located in well-connected areas of cities, making it easier for employees to commute by public transport, bicycle, or scooter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees can also use infrastructure supporting everyday low-emission mobility, including:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checked-gradient\">\n<li>bicycle parking,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>changing rooms and facilities for cyclists,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bicycle repair stations equipped with pumps and basic tools,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electric scooter charging points.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These solutions make choosing alternative means of transport convenient and accessible, regardless of location.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Education, integration, and activity<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s European Mobility Week at Sii was packed with a wide range of initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights of Mobility Week was a webinar during which <strong>Aleksandra Kuna, CSR\/ESG Manager at Sii Poland<\/strong>, and <strong>Marcelina Kwapisiewicz, CSR\/ESG Specialist at Sii Poland,<\/strong> shared their knowledge about climate change. Participants learned key facts about its causes and consequences and, most importantly, considered how they could translate this knowledge into their everyday decisions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities organized across Sii branches included:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checked-gradient\">\n<li>bicycle trips,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>knowledge competitions,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>educational meetings focused on sustainable transport,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>free bicycle servicing (e.g. at Sii Wroc\u0142aw),&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>activity challenges, such as step-count competitions (e.g. at Sii Rzesz\u00f3w),&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>guided walks.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-invert-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-invert-background-color has-background is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-invert-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-invert-background-color has-background is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A competition encouraging better choices<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark European Mobility Week, the company also organized a special competition for employees.
