The awards were presented during the 10<sup>th<\/sup> Entrepreneurship Gala in Lublin. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>10 companies have been awarded \u2013 among them Sii Poland, which, just like in the previous edition of the contest, has received a distinction in the category of Big Companies \u2013 Locomotives of the City\u2019s Economy.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the contest is to promote enterprises which are characterized by a stable development, good financial results, and at the same time their operation is transparent and it has a positive influence on its surroundings \u2013 promoting the economic development of Lublin and of the entire region. When selecting the awardees, the jury, composed of representatives of the world of business, science, media and local authorities, takes into consideration social, ethical and ecological aspects of a company\u2019s operation as well as knowledge and technology transfer.<\/p>\n<p>Sii has a significant impact on the development of the city and region, due to the fact, that it creates new, attractive job opportunities, yet the company is active in many other areas. Educational activities are among the most important \u2013 together with the Lublin Technical University, Sii organizes university lectures. It also offers practical training courses with IT experts which, can help launch a career in IT. Already seven editions of the \u201cBecome a tester\u201d course, have been organized.
