We are looking for a Big Data Application Supporter to join an international team for a client in the banking industry.

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting banking applications working in the Hadoop ecosystem (Cloudera/AWS).

The project involves hybrid working, two times a week from the client's office in Gdańsk, Gdynia, Warszawa, or Łódź.

• Managing/updating on-premise Big Data applications in Cloudera environments
• Contributing to the remediation of ECB OSI 1&2 by helping to remove the legacy on-site
• Moving workloads to newer platforms (cloud-based or on-prem)
• Resolving problems and conducting root cause analysis
• Establishing processes that will help incident prevention

• Experience in the Big Data environment on-premise Hadoop clusters: HDFS, HIVE, Impala, Spark, and OOZIE
• Good knowledge of Linux systems
• Understanding of ITIL standards
• Basic ability to write SQL queries
• A communicative level of spoken and written English
• AWS certifications are preferred

Optional:

• DevOps-related experience (eg. understanding CI/CD pipelines and container concepts) would be a plus
