We are looking for a Senior Python Automation Tester to join a strategic data transformation initiative focused on validating complex financial and reference data systems. The role combines automation and manual testing activities, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across legacy and target platforms. You will work closely with distributed Agile teams, leveraging Python, SQL, and modern testing practices to validate large datasets, investigate defects, and support high-quality software delivery.

Candidates from Chennai are preferred, but we are open to other locations as well.

Your tasks

Designing and maintaining automated test solutions using Python for data validation and regression testing
Validating complex datasets and ensuring consistency across databases, applications, and environments
Analyzing business requirements, legacy systems, and technical documentation to derive effective test scenarios
Executing functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across data pipelines and system interfaces
Investigating defects, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with development teams on resolutions
Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and supporting continuous quality assurance processes

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in test automation with strong Python programming skills
Advanced SQL and database testing experience, including validation of large datasets and data reconciliation
Experience with data validation, comparison testing, and ensuring end-to-end data accuracy
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, CI/CD practices, and Agile delivery methodologies
Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and ability to analyze application code
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills with fluent
Fluent English (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have

Knowledge of financial data standards such as EDIFACT, EDI, or structured data feeds
Exposure to big data testing, high-volume data validation, or performance testing activities
Familiarity with financial identifiers such as ISIN, CFI, and FISN
Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes

Projektowanie i utrzymywanie zautomatyzowanych rozwiązań testowych w Pythonie do walidacji danych i testów regresyjnych
Walidacja złożonych zbiorów danych i zapewnianie spójności między bazami danych, aplikacjami i środowiskami
Analiza wymagań biznesowych, systemów legacy oraz dokumentacji technicznej w celu opracowania skutecznych scenariuszy testowych
Wykonywanie testów funkcjonalnych, integracyjnych i end-to-end w ramach potoków danych i interfejsów systemowych
Badanie defektów, przeprowadzanie analizy przyczyn źródłowych oraz współpraca z zespołami developerskimi w celu ich rozwiązania
Integracja testów automatycznych z potokami CI/CD oraz wsparcie procesów ciągłej kontroli jakości

Wymagania

Co najmniej 5 lat doświadczenia zawodowego w automatyzacji testów z silnymi umiejętnościami programowania w Pythonie
Zaawansowane doświadczenie w testowaniu SQL i baz danych, w tym walidacja dużych zbiorów danych i uzgadnianie danych
Doświadczenie w walidacji danych, testach porównawczych oraz zapewnianiu dokładności danych end-to-end
Dobra znajomość frameworków automatyzacji testów, praktyk CI/CD oraz metodyk Agile
Znajomość koncepcji programowania obiektowego i umiejętność analizy kodu aplikacji
Doskonale rozwinięte umiejętności analityczne, rozwiązywania problemów oraz komunikacji z interesariuszami
Język angielski na poziomie zaawansowanym (minimum B2)

Mile widziane

Znajomość standardów danych finansowych, takich jak EDIFACT, EDI lub ustrukturyzowane kanały danych
Doświadczenie w testowaniu big data, walidacji danych o dużej objętości lub testach wydajnościowych
