Sii volunteers supported the organization of the 29th International Tandem Cycling Race and the 7th Hetman Paracycling Cup by assisting athletes before the start, helping along the race route, and cheering participants throughout the competition. The project promoted inclusive sports and supported the integration of people with disabilities through physical activity.
Sii has no shortage of people who turn their love for four-legged animals into action for local shelters and pro-animal organizations. Thanks to the PSii Patrol and Kocia Siiła initiatives, already active in 7 cities: Lodz, Lublin, Katowice, Krakow, Poznan, Rzeszow, and Wroclaw, animals are provided with warm shelters and pens renovated by volunteers. Participants also organize adoptions, walk dogs, and collect food and accessories.
Working with the Pirogov First Volunteer Foundation operating in Ukraine, we supported medical aid in the war zone. We donated PLN 50 000 to the foundation to refurbish 10 ambulances and to equip them with our volunteers. As part of our joint activities, Sii volunteers were trained in first aid and communication with people returning from the frontline.
What can be created by combining the Informatics Choir and Children’s Oncology Orchestra? A unique concert, changing the way we think about charitable actions! The idea of the ISKIERKA Foundation ignited the passion of kids undergoing cancer treatment and 20 of Sii’s volunteers who performed together at NOSPR in Katowice after three days of intense rehearsals! All income from the concert supported the treatment of children with cancer, and Sii donated to the foundation.
The Puck Hospice is a place that restores hope to the suffering when medicine is helpless. Our volunteers took care of the plant garden and installed pergolas in the “Garden of Dreams”, creating a beautiful space for patients to relax. Additionally, they participated in psychological workshops, breaking stereotypes about hospices.
