Business analysis workshops to align IT and business collaboration at BNP BGŻ Paribas Bank Polska

Establishing a shared understanding of business analysis to support IT–business collaboration

The client needed support in building knowledge in business analysis and clarifying the responsibilities of the business analyst role. Strengthening collaboration between business and IT teams was also a key objective.

The workshops were intended for a diverse audience, including business representatives, managers, analysts, and product owners. This required establishing a common level of understanding and a more consistent approach to business analysis to improve communication across projects.

To address these needs, BNP Paribas Bank Polska partnered with Sii Poland to design a workshop program tailored to the organization’s expectations and operating context.

Tailored business analysis workshop program

Sii Poland began the engagement with discovery sessions to fully understand the client’s needs and expectations regarding the workshop scope. Based on these insights, a dedicated training program and supporting materials were developed.

The team then delivered a series of business analysis workshops attended by more than 250 participants. The program focused on demonstrating how business analysts support projects—from defining scope during the analysis phase to validating requirements during testing.

The workshops also covered defining scope, processes, tools, and modeling outputs. By bringing together participants from different areas of the organization, the program helped establish a shared language for collaboration around requirements and business analysis.

Better prepared teams and more effective IT–business collaboration

The workshops helped participants better understand the role of the business analyst and how business analysis supports work on scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle. The program structured participants’ knowledge and encouraged a more consistent approach to collaboration between business and IT.

Participants gained practical foundations for defining scope, processes, tools, and modeling outputs. In an organization where employees from multiple roles took part, this created a stronger basis for communication and reduced misunderstandings related to project requirements.

Key Results

  • Over 250 employees trained in business analysis
  • Improved understanding of the business analyst role in IT projects
  • Shared knowledge base across different functions within the organization
  • Improved collaboration between business and technology teams
