Cloud-based service bus prepared for further system expansion
Better visibility into message flow and platform health
Unstructured, unresponsive legacy integration
With 7 production plants across Poland, Germany, Romania, and Ukraine, annual output exceeding 8 million ceramic sanitary ware pieces, and sales operations in 30 countries, the manufacturer needed stable and scalable system communication to support day-to-day business processes.
The existing Java-based solution no longer met these needs. It had to be replaced with a modern platform that would support efficient and stable operations, make future integrations easier to implement, and give key decision-making teams clear visibility into the flow of information. To support this change, the manufacturer engaged Sii thanks to 1000+ dedicated specialists offering considerable industry knowledge.
Implementing Azure service bus for stable system communication
The goal of the project was to build a modern integration layer that would improve reliability, simplify monitoring, and create a stronger base for further development.
Sii designed and implemented a new service bus using Microsoft Azure, with the scope of work including:
- Architecture design – defining the structure, message model, services, application programming interfaces, and event-driven approach
- Microsoft Azure – building and configuring the cloud-based service bus
- Integration standards – setting patterns, conventions, templates, and technical definitions for consistent delivery
- Process implementation – implementing all required processes on the new platform
- Azure DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery – automating build and deployment workflows
- Monitoring dashboards – providing visibility into availability, health, and information flow across the platform
The delivery used Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Node.js, and JavaScript. By combining platform engineering with implementation standards and monitoring, Sii helped replace a fragmented legacy setup with a more structured and scalable operating model.
Cloud-based scaling for flexible, dynamic growth
Sii gave the manufacturer a modern cloud-based solution for system communication. This improved the stability of information exchange and created a stronger technical base for further development.
The new platform introduced an event-based model with durable message handling, which improved reliability across connected systems. At the same time, each system was separated through its own independent component, making the overall landscape easier to manage and extend.
Monitoring also became much easier. All parts of the platform could be tracked in terms of availability and health, giving teams better control over day-to-day operations. Because the solution was built on standard protocols, it also created a practical path for future expansion without rebuilding the whole communication layer.
