Accelerated reporting for Controlling, Project Management, Logistics, and Warehousing
Fragmented data hinders cost and schedule control
A construction group executing ~100 large projects annually needed tools that could meet the demands of a growing project portfolio, multiple systems, and the need for rapid data access. In a highly competitive market undergoing fast digital transformation, the absence of a unified data platform hindered management, prolonged analysis, and increased IT maintenance costs.
To deliver scalability and transparency across the group, the management team chose to partner with a certified Microsoft provider and deploy a single platform integrating ERP, a data warehouse, and analytics – leveraging Microsoft technologies and Sii Poland’s experience in construction and industrial projects.
Integrated ERP, DWH, and Power BI platform on Microsoft Azure
Sii Poland’s experts delivered a full implementation – from process analysis to go-live of an integrated data environment – using Agile methods that allowed continuous scope alignment with business needs and rapid delivery of new features.
Scope included:
- Process and data-flow analysis across all group companies (12 entities)
- Implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations covering: Projects, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Warehousing, and Manufacturing
- Design and build of a cloud data warehouse on Microsoft Azure to consolidate information from multiple sources into a central DWH
- Deployment of analytics in Power BI – fast access to reports for executives and operational teams
- Standardization and automation of data flows to eliminate discrepancies among local systems
As a result, the client received an environment that lets the group manage processes and data within a single, scalable system that supports continued growth and expansion.
Data that powers decisions and growth
The new platform enables executives and managers to make decisions based on trustworthy, near real-time data. By consolidating systems and automating reporting, the company shortened analysis and budgeting cycles while improving control over project profitability. Centralizing processes in one environment reduced IT maintenance costs and simplified infrastructure management. The project confirmed that combining ERP, a cloud data platform, and analytics effectively supports the global ambitions of companies in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
