The TAX application supported core business processes of the Tax & Legal team and had evolved alongside the organization’s growing needs. With the number of users expected to increase from around 20 to up to 200, it became essential to verify whether the current architecture, access model, performance, and supporting automations would be sufficient for the next stage of development.
Additional challenges included areas requiring optimization, such as excessive data loading at application startup, complexity of certain screens, and overly broad user permissions. Without addressing these issues, further expansion could negatively impact performance, security, and maintainability.
To mitigate these risks, Crowe Peak commissioned an expert audit to assess the application’s scalability readiness and define priorities for improvement.
Assessment of architecture, performance, security, and automation
Sii Poland conducted an audit of the TAX application, focusing on the areas most critical to its further development.

- Governance recommendations for the Power Platform environment
Sii experts identified areas requiring optimization and delivered actionable recommendations to improve performance, refine access management, and simplify ongoing maintenance. The review also covered supporting automations, providing the client with a complete picture of current limitations and opportunities for further development.

The audit provided Crowe Peak with a clear understanding of the TAX application’s strengths and areas for improvement ahead of scaling. This enables the organization to make informed development decisions and reduce the risk of performance issues as the user base grows.
Recommendations related to performance, screen structure, data handling, and access management now serve as a practical foundation for further development. In a system supporting tax processes and handling sensitive data, this translates into a more secure growth path and reduced risk of issues that could disrupt daily operations.
