The challenge
- Gyldendal’s digital products are in need of constant maintenance due to the adoption of modern technologies;
- The Client’s systems need to be urgently migrated to mobile-friendly frameworks so that the company can remain successful on the market.
What we did
- Sii has been chosen to support Gyldendal’s strategic digitalization effort;
- A digital agile team from Sii is migrating legacy educational solutions, largely based on Flash technology, into modern technologies (JavaScript-based), supporting mobile devices, and are future-proof for new innovations to come;
- After a successful migration of the digital textbooks solution for teachers, Sii is also designing and developing the student version.
Effects
- Cost-and-effect-conscious development effort lets Gyldendal respond to expectations of its customers – educational institutions – to offer solution better fit for new advances in technology;
- The new versions of the solutions protect the existing business and enable a further expansion on the market.
