Dessert with HR – what every HR specialist should know about their industry
Sii, in cooperation with Olivia Business Centre, has launched a cycle of meetings – Dessert with HR. The Event addresses HR, EB and marketing specialists. The first meeting took place on July 15, 2016 in Olivia Sky Club in Gdańsk. The program included speeches of Mateusz Kusznierewicz – multiple Olympian, and Ph.D. Zdzislaw Nieckarz – HR & business advisor.
The main aim of Dessert with HR is an exchange of knowledge about HR tools and processes and getting to know the ins and outs of this professional environment – says Alicja Sawicka, HR & Recruitment Department Manager in the Sii Branch in Gdańsk, the initiator of the event. The meetings create a space for networking and definitely encourage to talk. Thanks to a substantial program and inspiring guests the event has attracted nearly 100 specialists from the biggest companies in Tricity – especially from the BPO/SSC sector.
In the first edition, Mateusz Kusznierewicz – gold olympic medalist, multiple world champion, great Polish sailor and finally businessman and entrepreneur, mesmerized the audience with his story The end of a sport’s career…and what now? How to transform your passion into success on many levels. For many people, his road to success can be an inspiration to achieve their own goals.
Ph.D. Zdzislaw Nieckarz, HR expert, coach, business trainer, publicist, together with all Dessert with HR participants, answered an essential question– Motivation in Practice, how to come to like your job? PhD. Zdzislaw Nieckarz for many years has been carrying out advisory programs for management boards in Poland, writing books about employee motivation and conducting research at the Gdańsk University.
The audience had the opportunity to take part in a lively discussion, Return to work and professional career after maternity leave. A difficulty, challenge or change for the better? Alicja Sawicka adds – During Dessert with HR we would like to encourage all participants to discuss and approach difficult and even controversial topics. We hope that every guest of Dessert with HR will find something suitable for themselves and will implement new solutions and good practices in their company.
Next to Sii and Olivia Business Centre, also such companies as: Bank Zachodni WBK, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Nowakowski Goraco Polecam, Lobster, Wolters Kluwer and HR Polska have participated in the organization of the event. The next Dessert with HR meeting will take place at the end of September, also in Olivia Sky Club. The organizer will provide all interested specialist with an even greater dose of HR knowledge and presence of famous individuals who will share their unique stories.
