Refreshed B2B mobile app supporting EV services
Service continuity after mobile app takeover
With a large international network of gas stations and convenience stores, the client depends on digital tools that support business users in everyday mobility services.
After taking over the application from another provider, the key priority was to maintain service continuity. Drivers and fleet managers needed uninterrupted access to important business data, with no disruption to the solution.
As part of the Overnight initiative, the client decided to build a B2B mobile application from scratch and refresh the user experience. The new solution was also intended to support the development of electric vehicle (EV) services by giving users a simple way to find charging points, check key charger information, and use search and filtering options in a convenient mobile application.
The client was looking for a reliable partner that could take responsibility for creating and deploying the new solution. Sii was selected to deliver the application from design to deployment.
Full-scope delivery
Sii’s multidisciplinary team of mobile architects, back-end and front-end developers, UX specialists, and testers delivered the new B2B mobile solution from design to deployment.
The scope of work included:
- Business requirements analysis – gathering and structuring requirements for the B2B mobile application
- UX and UI design – preparing user flows and interfaces based on client’s business needs
- Front-end and back-end development – building the application using React Native for the front-end and Java for back-end services
- Functional and performance testing – checking the application’s functionality, stability, and performance before deployment
- Deployment – implementing the new application and supporting the transition to the refreshed solution
A key part of the application was an interactive map designed to help users access EV charging information in one place. The map displayed EV chargers together with their technical details, availability, and pricing, using the Google Maps component and Be:Mo as the back-end solution.
The application also included:
- Search by station name or address
- Filtering by charger power, availability, provider, and price range
- Customizable map views based on selected criteria
Mobile continuity with room to grow
The new B2B mobile application helped the client maintain service continuity after taking over the solution from another provider. Drivers and fleet managers kept access to important business data, while the refreshed mobile experience made key app functions easier to access and use.
By combining UX, mobile development, front-end and back-end engineering, and testing in one Agile delivery setup, Sii covered the full delivery path from business requirements to deployment. This gave the client a tailored application aligned with its business needs, with EV charging information, station search, and filtering available in a practical mobile format.
The app was designed to grow with the business, supporting more users, data, and functionality as needed.
