About the client
A Danish media company and the largest digital media house in Denmark, owner of many newspapers, websites, and radio stations. The first newspaper published by the company is among the oldest newspapers in the world, operating since 1749.
The challenge
Berlingske Media wanted to diversify the Jutland market on the base of existing Reader’s. Berlingske Media invited local shops and entrepreneurs to sell and promote their products in a common internet platform. The system and setup was to be delivered within 2 months.
What we did
The customer was looking for a modern e-commerce solution with an intuitive admin interface, mobile-friendly configuration, build-in upsells and cross-sells, easy third-party integrations and advanced security permissions.
Sii delivered such solution including frontend, domain knowledge and dedicated cross-competence team. As a final result Berlingske Media and partners received a well designed and customized platform for Danish customers. The first webstore was launched just before the peak period in online sales. After the first success with www.shopiaarhus.dk, the business decided to run www.shopringskjern.dk.
