A more stable graphics driver development process
Data and testing required for stable graphics driver development
To maintain the high quality of its proprietary graphics drivers, the client required verification of graphics software performance in 2D and 3D environments, as well as reliable data to support the development process. It was essential not only to conduct testing, but also to collect data enabling validation of fixes implemented in the driver.
The client needed a partner capable of performing thorough manual testing, verifying reported bugs and implemented fixes, providing comparative data across different graphics cards and preparing comprehensive documentation to support continuous driver development. In response to these needs, the company decided to engage Sii Poland as the partner responsible for delivering the entire project.
Comprehensive verification of graphics software performance
Sii Poland experts carried out a full scope of testing and analytical activities to support the development of graphics drivers.
The scope of work included:
- Conducting manual testing, verifying and documenting bugs, as well as monitoring regressions and recording materials enabling issue reproduction
- Collecting logs and dumps and verifying fixes implemented by the client in the graphics drivers
- Creating performance scenarios comparing the behavior of different graphics cards and multitasking units. This data was then shared with game developers, who used it to prepare hardware recommendations
As a result, the client received a consistent set of data and materials that became the foundation for further graphics driver development.
Higher product quality based on thorough testing and reliable data
The testing activities carried out by Sii experts enabled the client to identify graphics driver issues more quickly and assess the impact of implemented changes on graphics software performance. The delivered reference materials, including recordings, logs and memory dumps, structured the analysis process and facilitated the reproduction of reported issues, resulting in more efficient problem resolution.
Regular verification of fixes and detailed documentation linking observations with test results allowed development teams to continue enhancing the driver while maintaining full control over the quality of implemented changes. As a result, the client gained a transparent workflow that reduces the risk of recurring issues and supports the delivery of stable driver releases.
