A consistent communication and content standard in a multinational environment
In the professional paint solutions sector, digital channels play a much broader role than simply providing information. Websites are key sales tools, sources of product knowledge, and essential elements in building brand credibility – both in B2B and B2C segments.
For organizations operating across multiple markets and brands, this means ensuring consistent communication and a unified online experience regardless of country or brand.
As Tikkurila expanded its digital presence across additional markets and launched websites for different brands, maintaining a common standard for product presentation, content structure, and website management became increasingly challenging. It was also essential to allow local teams to independently create and publish content without losing technological and communication consistency.
To organize its digital ecosystem, strengthen brand visibility online, and create a scalable foundation for further development, the company partnered with Sii Poland to design and implement a shared CMS platform supporting a multi-brand, multinational organization.
A centralized multi-site CMS platform
Sii Poland designed and implemented a centralized digital platform capable of supporting multiple brands and markets within a single scalable architecture. The solution provides a shared technological foundation while allowing flexibility in local content management and brand differentiation.
Scope of work included:
- Preparing the platform and infrastructure in the Microsoft Azure environment, with a focus on scalability, high availability, and performance
- Integrating the CMS with backend systems, including ERP, PIM, external content and service databases, and a translation management system
- Implementing the client’s main brand as well as additional brands such as Beckers, Jedynka, Vivacolor, Alcro, and Finncolor
- Launching localized websites for multiple countries, including Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Kazakhstan
As a result, the platform enabled centralized management of technology and integrations while supporting local teams in creating and maintaining market-specific content.
Unified content management across brands and markets
Standardizing the CMS platform allowed Tikkurila to organize its previously fragmented digital ecosystem and introduce a single technological standard for all brands and markets. The organization gained centralized control over architecture, integrations, and platform development, creating a stable foundation for further international expansion without requiring new implementations for each market.
At the same time, the platform significantly simplified the daily work of local teams. Thanks to shared structures and reusable components, teams can independently manage content, launch campaigns faster, and tailor communication to local markets without relying on technical teams or risking inconsistencies between websites.
For end users, the new digital environment provides a consistent, intuitive, and predictable online experience. Regardless of brand or country, the websites now offer clear product presentation, intuitive navigation, and up-to-date content tailored to local needs while maintaining a unified standard.
