Terraform Microsoft Azure API Management IaC (Infrastructure as Code)

We are seeking a hands-on AI Platform Engineer to join our team as an external contractor. The primary mission of this role is to operate, automate, manage, and evolve our enterprise AI Platform so that internal development teams can rely on a stable, secure, scalable, and well-governed environment for building AI solutions.

This is a platform engineering and operations role, not an application development position. The ideal candidate is proactive, autonomous, understands cloud platform engineering principles, and can execute technical initiatives with minimal supervision.

The role spans infrastructure, CI/CD automation, API management, platform governance, and AI services, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code and operational excellence.

Your tasks

Administering and maintaining Azure AI Foundry workspaces, projects, model deployments, connections, and platform configurations
Managing the lifecycle of LLMs, embedding models, AI services, and platform environments across development, non-production, and production
Supporting platform scalability, reliability, availability, and troubleshooting platform-level issues across Azure services
Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules, templates, and deployment patterns
Automating environment provisioning, configuration management, and platform operations to ensure consistency across environments
Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including build, release, deployment, validation, and rollback processes
Operating and maintaining Azure API Management (APIM), including API configuration, policies, authentication, authorization, throttling, and routing
Supporting secure integration and exposure of AI capabilities to internal development teams and troubleshooting API connectivity issues
Configuring and maintaining logging, monitoring, tracing, telemetry, dashboards, and alerts for platform performance, usage, cost, and operational health
Monitoring platform capacity, quotas, consumption, and service reliability while implementing diagnostics and preventive measures for stable platform operations

Requirements

Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise platform operations within Microsoft Azure environments
Practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Practical experience with Azure API Management (APIM), including API configuration, policies, security, and routing
Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or other Azure AI services
Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity management, and access control
Solid troubleshooting, problem-solving, and platform operations skills
Ability to work independently and manage technical tasks end-to-end in enterprise environments
Strong communication skills with fluent English proficiency
Immediate joiners or candidates currently serving their notice period are preferred.

Nice to have

Experience with Portkey AI for LLM routing, observability, guardrails, caching, or governance
Knowledge of multi-model AI platforms and model gateway architectures
Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or other cloud AI platforms
Experience implementing platform observability solutions and operational dashboards
Knowledge of enterprise AI governance, compliance, and security controls

Automatyzacja provisioningu środowisk, zarządzania konfiguracją i operacji platformowych w celu zapewnienia spójności w różnych środowiskach
Projektowanie, wdrażanie i utrzymywanie pipeline'ów CI/CD przy użyciu Azure DevOps, w tym procesów budowy, wydania, wdrożenia, walidacji i wycofywania
Obsługa i utrzymywanie Azure API Management (APIM), w tym konfiguracja API, polityki, uwierzytelnianie, autoryzacja, ograniczanie i routowanie
