Small changes, big impact. Power People for the environment
24.09.2026
As part of European Mobility Week 2026 (September 16-22), all Sii branches in Poland organized initiatives encouraging Workers to choose more sustainable ways to get around. Power People, Sii Poland employees, joined forces to reduce their individual CO₂ emissions. See what activities we carried out at Sii throughout the whole month around European Mobility Week.
For the third time, all Sii branches across 14 cities in Poland took part in initiatives related to European Mobility Week. The program included educational events, sports activities, competitions, and initiatives promoting alternative means of transport.
Low-emission mobility – not just for special occasions
European Mobility Week is an opportunity to celebrate and highlight the initiatives that Sii carries out throughout the year. Reducing transport-related emissions is part of the company’s decarbonization strategy, which is why Sii consistently implements solutions that promote more environmentally friendly mobility.
One of the latest solutions is Sii Carpooling, an application designed to promote ride-sharing among employees. It allows users to post and search for rides within the Sii community. Since May this year, more than 700 ride submissions have already been registered in the app, showing that traveling together is becoming an increasingly popular way to commute to work and attend company events.
Offices supporting alternative means of transport
Sii branches are located in well-connected areas of cities, making it easier for employees to commute by public transport, bicycle, or scooter.
Employees can also use infrastructure supporting everyday low-emission mobility, including:
- bicycle parking,
- changing rooms and facilities for cyclists,
- bicycle repair stations equipped with pumps and basic tools,
- electric scooter charging points.
These solutions make choosing alternative means of transport convenient and accessible, regardless of location.
Education, integration, and activity
This year’s European Mobility Week at Sii was packed with a wide range of initiatives.
One of the highlights of Mobility Week was a webinar during which Aleksandra Kuna, CSR/ESG Manager at Sii Poland, and Marcelina Kwapisiewicz, CSR/ESG Specialist at Sii Poland, shared their knowledge about climate change. Participants learned key facts about its causes and consequences and, most importantly, considered how they could translate this knowledge into their everyday decisions.
Activities organized across Sii branches included:
- bicycle trips,
- knowledge competitions,
- educational meetings focused on sustainable transport,
- free bicycle servicing (e.g. at Sii Wrocław),
- activity challenges, such as step-count competitions (e.g. at Sii Rzeszów),
- guided walks.
The Passion Sponsorship Program also supports an active lifestyle by helping employees pursue their sporting interests and achieve ambitious goals related to physical activity.
In September, 80 Power People took part in the FRRuuu corporate bike rally through the streets of Warsaw, supported by funding available under the program. As many as 20 Sii Poland teams joined the intercompany competition, giving participants an opportunity to spend time together and integrate while staying active. The event also aimed to show employees that cycling is a great way to travel around the city.
A competition encouraging better choices
To mark European Mobility Week, the company also organized a special competition for employees. Participants were asked to share a video showing how they commute to work in a sustainable way, choosing a bicycle, walking, a scooter, or any form of public transport instead of traveling by car.
The winners will receive an attractive prize: a PLN 500 voucher for the Sii eShop, redeemable for company merchandise, including clothing, luggage, and practical sports accessories. The competition runs until the end of September, and here you can find examples of videos submitted by Power People:
