Faster access to critical insights through real-time data integration
Lower operating costs by eliminating duplicated analytics processes
Growth slowed by fragmented data
Healthcare depends on reliable data – both due to strict quality and safety regulations and the pressure to bring innovative products to market quickly. WS Audiology faced dispersed information sources and no unified data-management strategy. Fragmentation led to duplicated analyses, delays in R&D initiatives, and challenges maintaining compliance. Because WS Audiology’s solutions serve millions of patients worldwide, the leadership chose to partner with a trusted, experienced provider – Sii Poland – to define a unified data strategy and lay solid foundations for AI deployment.
Data strategy as the foundation for scaling AI
The project goal was to define and implement a data strategy that supports business objectives and enables global process harmonization. Sii Poland led strategic workshops, an architecture and maturity assessment, and a series of pilot implementations to validate technologies and approaches – driven by tight Business–IT collaboration.
Scope included:
- Automating ETL and enabling real-time data integration with Azure Data Factory
- Integrating business and medical systems using MuleSoft
- Building a central data repository in Azure Data Lake
- Preparing an environment for machine learning and predictive models with Azure Databricks
- Delivering data visualization and KPI access for managers via Microsoft Power BI
The outcome is a consistent, scalable data environment that supports decision-making on trustworthy information at a global scale.
Competitive advantage through a unified data strategy
With the new data strategy in place, WS Audiology gained end-to-end control over information flows. Integrated sources and automated processes shortened delivery times for business initiatives and reduced costs tied to duplicated analytics work. The new data environment ensures consistency of reports and management metrics, enabling decisions based on reliable insights. Data harmonization also supports compliance with stringent healthcare requirements for information quality and security. The project established a solid foundation for further digitization – creating an AI-ready environment that opens the door to product-development innovations.
“Thanks to our collaboration with Sii, we’ve built a foundation for data-driven growth. A unified data strategy lets us respond to business needs faster and roll out innovations at global scale.” – WS Audiology team member
