Ingenico operates in a payments market where product reliability, security, performance, and compliance are critical to business continuity and customer trust. Its cloud-based solution enables payments with mobile devices, which makes the platform dependent on strong mobile architecture, secure communication, stable backend services, and predictable release processes.
A key project focus was tailoring the solution to requirements specific to Apple iOS. This required a partner with practical experience in AI-based tools, mobile payments, secure software engineering, cross-platform development, cloud services, and delivery automation.
To move the work forward, Ingenico selected Sii Poland as a technology partner able to support both the product’s mobile layers and the wider backend and cloud ecosystem.
End-to-end support for the mobile payment technology stack
Sii Poland supported Ingenico across several connected workstreams, combining mobile development, backend engineering, cloud operations, security expertise, and delivery automation.
The scope of work included:
- Strengthening the mobile point-of-sale stack with security and performance improvements across Android, Apple iOS, and native C++ layers
- Augmenting frontend capabilities with AI-based tooling
- Supporting backend development in a Java and Scala microservices ecosystem
- Contributing to Kafka-based event flows and cloud-based platform components
- Building and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), as well as delivery pipelines for mobile, web, and backend components
- Operating and optimizing platform services on Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform
- Developing simulators and test frameworks to accelerate validation and reduce friction in development
Stronger delivery foundations for secure mobile payments
Sii Poland’s work helped Ingenico strengthen a complex payment platform that depends on security, performance, platform-specific requirements, and stable delivery processes.
The client gained access to rare, combined expertise in payments, mobile development, cloud infrastructure, and security engineering. This was particularly important for areas such as attestation, PCI-grade cryptography, secure channels, and cross-platform behavior across mobile environments.
AI-based tools, deployed in web development, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, in addition to pipeline work, also supported faster implementation and delivery cycles, while also filling frontend team capability gaps. Simulators and test frameworks helped reduce manual effort in validation and made releases more predictable across mobile, web, and backend components.
In the long term, consistent application programming interfaces, predictable software development kit behavior, and stable environments support lower maintenance effort. For a payment solution, this means fewer avoidable technical disruptions and a stronger base for further product development.
