The challenge
Due to the growth of the e-mobility market, the company requires assistance in responding to the rapidly changing needs of the customers, which include (but are not limited to): designing, developing, validating, and releasing software increments for Fast Charging Stations.
What we did
We designed and developed a complete ecosystem that allows customers to run their APPs on our partner’s Fast Charging Stations.
- Secure, separate OS environment
- API allowing the app to utilize selected charger features
- Customer application upgrade
- Certificate-based authentication of the APP
- Validation of the developed solution
Effects
The ecosystem combined with a dedicated API enables the customer to develop an APP that:
- Establishes the OCPP connection over the existing software
- Monitors charge parameters
- Controls the flow of energy between vehicle and charger
- Generates and receives events to/from the partner’s APP
- Enables secure data exchange
