The Chorzów facility was running several parallel initiatives related to production planning, quality control, and assembly processes. During periods of higher workload, the teams needed additional support to keep work moving efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain the required documentation quality.
The required expertise varied depending on the stage and scope of each project. It included process engineering, design, material planning, certification, validation, documentation, and selected electrical installation activities. The client therefore needed a partner that could not only provide specialists with the right experience, but also quickly scale the team up or down in line with current demand.
To maintain continuity of work and access to the required expertise, the client entered into a long-term cooperation with Sii Poland.
A scalable team for key engineering areas
Sii provided the client with a team under a team leasing model, with its size adjusted to the current project workload. Over 5 years of cooperation, the team ranged from 5 to 21 experts, with the full 21-person team working at full capacity for approximately one year.
Managers from the client’s individual departments set the priorities, while a dedicated Delivery Manager coordinated the team’s activities on the Sii side. The specialists supported several parallel initiatives related to production planning, quality control, and assembly processes.
The scope of support included:
- Preparing assembly instructions, optimizing production processes, working on workstation layouts and value stream mapping, designing tools to improve processes, and updating bills of materials by process engineers
- Designing equipment structures and assembly fixtures by mechanical designers working in CATIA V5
- Planning material requirements in SAP by material planning specialists, including managing bills of materials, orders, availability, and delivery schedules, as well as coordinating with suppliers and the client’s other facilities
- Testing systems and conducting acceptance activities by certification and validation engineers in accordance with project documentation based on applicable standards and client guidelines, as well as preparing reports, test records, and checklists
- Creating and updating instructions, technical documentation, quality reports, and summaries by documentation specialists in line with industry requirements and the standards of the client and its customers
- Testing electrical installations and verifying that assembly work had been completed correctly
This setup covered a broad range of activities, from process engineering, design and material planning to testing, acceptance, and documentation. Sii supplemented the client’s teams with the expertise needed at each stage, supporting several engineering areas within a single cooperation model.

Cooperation with Sii Poland enabled the client to adjust the team size to the current project workload. The organization could scale the number of experts up or down in line with demand, using the required level of support exactly when needed.
