Join our team working on AI-driven quality assurance and automation solutions for smart devices. You will design and develop end-to-end hardware test automation frameworks used to validate cameras and doorbells, combining Python development with hands-on device testing. You will have an opportunity to build scalable test infrastructure, device abstractions, and automation solutions supporting AI validation across fleets of physical devices while collaborating with global development teams. This role is based in Cambridge and involves working closely with a global development team to deliver impactful solutions. Your tasks
- Designing and developing end-to-end hardware test automation frameworks in Python
- Creating automated solutions for driving and validating camera and doorbell devices
- Building and maintaining testbed infrastructure for automated hardware validation
- Developing device abstractions and test fixtures supporting scalable AI validation
- Ensuring reliable execution of automated tests across fleets of physical devices
- Applying software design patterns, reusable components, and efficient coding practices
- Developing reliable and high-performance Web Services, APIs, Microservices, Micro-Frontends, and SDKs
- Collaborating with global development teams to ensure successful software delivery
- Delivering high-quality solutions within demanding project timelines
- Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of other team members
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software development or test automation
- Very good programming skills in Python
- Experience in hardware or device test automation
- Experience in designing and developing automated test frameworks
- Understanding of test infrastructure, testbeds, and test fixtures
- Experience working with physical devices and automated device validation
- Knowledge of software design patterns and reusable software development practices
- Familiarity with Web Services, APIs, Microservices, or SDK development
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within global development teams
