We are looking for an ambitious Leader to create competitive advantages for Polonia Warszawa by leading revenue and profit growth while supporting the club’s financial sustainability.

Important:

- We are not looking for a supervisor/coordinator who delegates tasks to other people,

- But for a leader with strong, hands-on ability to multitask, walk, stand, work hard, deliver by himself/herself, and get things done. We need a powerful salesperson who will prospect, do a lot of cold mailing & cold calling activities, organize exploration meetings with prospects, will generate leads & opportunities, win deals & sign contracts with sponsors.

Your role

  • Manage the sales & marketing department, to produce the desired results
    • Build multiple channels of communication and marketing strategy to grow the revenue and increase profits, and expand our customer base for sponsoring, advertising, ticket selling & merchandising.
    • Manage the unit budget and finance. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to acquire the most cost-effective products & services.
    • Manage sales & marketing department procedures, checklists & dashboards to monitor KPI.
    • Manage CRM database – take care of proper segmentation, data quality, and the increased number of contacts, leads, and opportunities.
    • Solve everyday problems, and troubleshoot (ideally anticipate problems and risks before they occur).
  • Drive sponsors, advertisers & partners' acquisition
    • Build good quality offerings & elaborate persuasive presentations & creative sponsorship & advertising proposals to obtain new sponsors & advertisers for the club. Deliver presentations, brochures, and catalogs to attract new sponsors.
    • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails. Explain what we can offer, providing specific advertising benefits and return on investment numbers. Successfully negotiate and win sponsorships & advertising deals.
    • When match transmissions are done by external media companies (TVP Sport, WP Pilot, Canal+, Polsat), sell advertisements in the stadium.
    • Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with existing and potential sponsors, Polonia Warszawa partners, VIPs & important influencers. Develop close relationships with prospects & customers decision makers (CEO & CMO), advertising & media agencies. Manage day-to-day needs of VIPs & sponsors.
    • Manage match day experience in VIP tribune, ensuring proper catering & hospitality services at affordable cost.
    • Oversee sponsor contracts, invoicing, and accounts receivable & develop processes to ensure execution and payment collections. Process all correspondence and paperwork related to sponsors & advertisers.
    • Deliver sponsoring agreements services to sponsors.
  • Drive Ticket selling
    • Increase the number of tickets sold (match days & season tickets). Maximize frequency & stadium seat utilization. Oversee all ticket selling in each tribune: season tickets, Premium/VIP, single matches, and free tickets.
    • Implement & manage efficient ticket sales promotion campaigns.
    • Ensure good services for all email and telephone booking inquiries, support visitors in booking tickets online, both in the stadium and over the phone, and always provide efficient customer service at an affordable cost.
    • Operate the ticket system and support the sale of tickets/passes stationary to fans.
  • Polonia Warszawa Communication Lead
    • Ensure Polonia Warszawa has an excellent and effective online & offline promotion of its home matches in our stadium/K6 to increase ticket selling & frequency in our stadium.
    • Build and publish content that defends club interest and club core values, according to Club’s President's vision & expectations.
    • Handle public relations, information output, and media requests. Plan & deliver social media campaigns & advertising efforts.
    • Manage Polonia Warszawa communication: website content, news, interviews, social media, procedures, and checklist (for match promotion). Build mutually beneficial relationships between Polonia Warszawa and our audience.
    • Manage communication & promotion plan/schedule/procedures/checklist.
    • Manage & develop social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram) & content, seeking to increase the number of followers on our social media.
    • Increase the number of CRM contacts and manage proper CRM database segmentation & marketing automation. Run mass mailings and newsletter campaigns.
    • Manage fan community. Manage fans' requests, call center, emails, telephone, and physical meetings in K6. Strengthen fans' engagement. Build a positive relationship with Polonia Warszawa’s fans, but also be strict with fans when they don’t respect our rules, are against the club’s interest, or behave against our core values.
    • Manage & develop relations with media & journalists. Obtain media patrons. Organize press releases and press conferences.
    • Resolve problems when they occur. Manage crisis communication when needed.
    • Promote the personal brand of Polonia Warszawa President and Polonia's strategic sponsors like Sii Poland.
    • Manage cooperation with the graphics team and video team. Drive preparation of materials with the graphics and video departments including advertising campaigns, various promotions, and photo sessions. Manage our marketing content warehouse (film shooting & pictures) with efficient search engines.
    • Support the organization of match days at Polonia Warszawa stadium.
    • Promote the second Polonia Warszawa team & our academy – publish content and create promotional materials.
    • Support the Administration Department in ensuring the continuity of the club's office (including registration and management of correspondence, providing good quality documents, and assistance in organizing and conducting meetings).
    • Promote the Czarna Koszula club bar – publication of content, and creation of promotional materials.
  • Support Polonia Warszawa’s apparel/gadget/merchandising unit
  • Advise the Merchandising Team on how to build attractive apparel & gadgets offers. Support the selling process of those products to Polonia Warszawa’s fans & kids from our academy. Help our gadget & merchandising unit to increase revenue & profits and maximize customer satisfaction.
    • Support our marketing strategy and promotion plans for gadgets & merchandising. Support online marketing activities, including advertising campaigns, various promotions, photographic sessions, video production, graphics designs, and social media communication.
  • HR / People Management
    • Hire, train & manage subordinates.
    • Establish a remuneration policy & bonus system under CEO approval.
    • Lead, coach, mentor, motivate, guide & evaluate subordinates’ attitude, engagement & performance.
    • Ensure an effective subordinates' appraisal process takes place. Dismiss low performers & people with a bad attitude.
    • Create a positive working environment that promotes great performance and positive values & maintain a fun & pleasant atmosphere in the team.
    • Resolve conflicts between subordinates and with other departments in Sii & Polonia Warszawa when they occur.
  • Build positive collaboration with other Polonia Warszawa & Sii departments & units
    • Support other Polonia Warszawa departments like finance & administration, sports department, academy, merchandizing, and Czarna Koszula bar.
    • Establish efficient collaboration with Sii departments like Marketing & Communication, Events, Procurement, or Internal IT.
    • Help other colleagues and other units to perform at work & solve problems.
    • Contribute to building a positive atmosphere at work.

Your skills
  • At least 5 years of experience working as a Sales Representative (if possible, experience in sponsoring or advertisement selling).
  • Excellent selling/business development & marketing skills. Commercial awareness. Strong prospection & negotiation skills.
  • Crazy ambition, huge motivation, perseverance, fighting spirit.
  • Hands-on ability to multitask, walk, stand, prospect, skills in cold calling, cold mailing, exploration meetings with potential customers, lead generation, and bid management.
  • Ability to occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment during match days.
  • Ability to recruit good, smart, and nice people.
  • Good financial management awareness & skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods. Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights & weekends (during match days).
  • Remain calm in stressful situations. Excellent problem-solving and conflict-management abilities. Be able to work with diverse personalities (fans) and diffuse tense situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Charisma, positive energy, can-do attitude, and enthusiasm. Make contacts & friends easily. Help other colleagues from other departments (sport, gastronomy, finance, administration, merchandising, stadium) when needed.
  • A person who knows how to be firm, tough & strict, when necessary, with certain supporters or fans who do not respect the club's interests or core values. Someone who is not afraid of receiving criticism, not scared to have haters among fans when defending the club’s interests. Excellent problem-solving and conflict-management abilities. Ability to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations.
  • Strong project management & organizational skills. Deliver on time, on budget & quality with proper attention to detail. Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
