Sii Poland’s expansion continues — Torun becomes a new point on Poland’s technological map!
From a one-person start-up to the largest IT services provider in Poland, Sii Poland’s history is a continuous journey of growth and expansion. Let’s take a closer look at the latest chapter of this remarkable journey – the opening of the 16th branch of the company in Torun, where a team of specialists is offered not only comfortable working conditions but also exceptional opportunities for development and the realization of ambitious projects for global clients.
A bit of history
Starting its journey in 2006 as a one-person start-up, Sii Poland gradually evolved into the largest provider of technological consulting, digital transformation, BPO, and engineering services in the country. Over the years, the company has expanded its team of specialists and currently employs over 8,000 experts.
Through the combination of knowledge and experience, Sii carries out projects for leading companies both from Poland and around the world. The company’s client portfolio includes enterprises from diverse sectors, such as automotive, banking, finance, hi-tech, medical, retail, logistics, and public services. Sii Poland offers a wide range of services, starting from software testing, through advisory services and Microsoft Dynamics 365 system implementations, to IT system security support and the development of modern software. The company also aids its clients in enhancing online sales efficiency and marketing processes.
Currently, Sii Poland has branches in 16 major cities in Poland, including Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, and Lublin. The newest addition, opened in July 2023, is located in Torun.
Why Torun?
The decision to open a new Sii Poland office in Torun stems from the company’s acknowledgement of the region’s potential. The presence of Nicolaus Copernicus University, with which the Torun branch of Sii has already established cooperation, is undoubtedly an additional asset.
— I am incredibly proud and happy that we have managed to open the 16th Sii office in Poland — says Anna Boruszkowska-Becmer, Regional Director of Sii Bydgoszcz and Torun. — It’s a fulfillment of many people’s dreams. Interestingly, the initiators of opening the Sii Torun office were employees of the company who come from this region. It was important for us to create a place for them that enables peaceful and comfortable work, as well as integration. I am convinced that the space we provided to the employees in July 2023 will meet their expectations. — she adds.
The office located at 71 Kościuszki Street, in the Kościuszko Business Point building, is a place designed with the comfort and integration of employees in mind.
In the modern Class A building, spanning 360 square meters, the team can enjoy comfortable project rooms, a kitchen, relaxation areas, and a conference room. They also have access to car and bicycle parking facilities. Moreover, there are dining options in the vicinity of the office and within its premises, and the charming Old Town is just 1.5 km away.
Future plans
Sii Torun employs over 50 experts who are engaged in projects for global clients across various sectors, including banking and finance, FMCG, hi-tech and electronics, and pharmaceuticals. The team creates customized solutions based on technologies such as Java, .NET, C/C++, and JavaScript.
— I’m part of the DQAR (Data Quality Analysis and Reporting) team at Sii, — says Błażej Kitrys, Data Analyst at Sii Poland. — Our company is an endless source of data that tells us what’s going on inside. My role involves extracting this data and transforming it into understandable and valuable analyses, mainly in the form of BI reports. What do I love about my job? Collaborating with various departments of the organization – from HR, through controlling, to marketing, and many others. Each area is like uncharted territory for me. With each project, we discover something new about the data, and the insights we draw become more and more valuable. Many of our reports are used daily by different departments, saving them a lot of time. And the new, beautiful office in Torun is just an additional advantage that makes my work even more satisfying. — he adds.
Sii Torun primarily employs programmers, testers, system administrators, analysts, consultants, and Project Managers who support the development of systems and business applications used worldwide. Recognizing the potential of the local market, including the academic environment and the availability of IT specialists, Sii plans to double the number of employees in Torun within the first year of the new branch’s operation. The company is seeking experienced Java, .NET, C/C++, and Python programmers, automation testers, as well as consultants and M365 developers, business-system analysts, and Big Data developers.
