On June 23rd employees from Sii Gdansk participated in the Banking Technology Forum 2015 in London, a conference dedicated to the digital payments and technological advancements that pose a challenge to suppliers of products and services for the Banking Sector.
This year’s theme of the conference was dominated by payments modernization as well as the cybercrime. The event gathered together over 180 participants and up to 25 speakers.
– We found the event extremely interesting, mostly due to the fact that it concerned the present challenges for Banking Sector, such as: real-time and mobile payments, protection of financial data. The conference was dominated by interesting discussions with professionals with deep domain expertise. We received abundant materials concerning the Financial regulations and directives, which is for us a valuable guidance on the needs of the Banking Sector. – says Kinga Mrozowska, Business Manager from Sii Gdansk.
Among the invited speakers, there were: Jelmer de Jong (FinTech Consultant at Backbase), Claire Maslen (Senior Manager, Financial Services at GSMA), Mark Beeston (Illuminate Financial Management in Chief executive and founder) and Dr. Anthony Kirby ( Director, Regulatory Reform and Risk Management at Ernst & Young).
