About the client
Danish variety store chain with its first shop opened in Copenhagen in 1995. Currently, the chain has nearly 1000 shops all over the world. The company sells a variety of items, including toys and accessories.
Business need
The client faced a problem related to technical debt in their online store. Functionalities were written in different technologies while some part of the code was unused or overwritten. As a result, any change in the code resulted in the appearance of unexpected errors.
What we did
- Created a modern way of communication between the frontend-backend layers without refreshing the page
- Fixed existing bugs and cleaned up the code
- Removed unused libraries
- Implemented SCSS, JavaScript ES6+
- Implemented Webpack for application building optimization
